SHEQ MANAGER | Chatham | £45,000
Are you a hands-on SHEQ, HSEQ or Quality professional who enjoys improving standards rather than simply maintaining them?
We're recruiting for a growing business in Chatham looking for a proactive SHEQ Manager to take ownership of quality, health & safety, environmental and compliance processes.
This is a shop-floor focused role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference.
The Role Will Include:
- Maintaining and improving the QMS
- Leading internal and external audits
- Managing customer complaints, NCRs and corrective actions
- Reducing defects, rework and customer returns
- Risk assessments, SSOW and accident investigations
- Contractor management and inductions
- Supporting the development of the EMS
- Driving employee engagement and improved standards
- Supporting 5S and operational excellence initiatives

We're Looking For Someone With:
- SHEQ, HSEQ, Quality, Compliance or similar experience
- Manufacturing, engineering or industrial experience
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
- Good understanding of H&S compliance and legislation
- Experience with audits, NCRs and corrective actions
- The confidence to challenge standards constructively
- A practical and improvement-focused approach

Desirable: NEBOSH, Internal/Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 experience.
£45,000 | Chatham | Monday–Friday, 39 hours
23 days annual leave + bank holidays, increasing with service, plus Christmas shutdown.
