Job Title: HSE Site Manager – Renewable Energy

Location: UK-Wide (Field-based / Travel required)

Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35 / Day rate or Fixed-Term Contract options)

Rate/Salary: £400 per day OR £55,000 – £60,000 per annum (All expenses covered)

We are looking for a robust, forward-thinking HSE Site Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across our growing portfolio of UK renewable energy construction projects.

If you thrive in dynamic site environments, possess a deep understanding of CDM regulations, and want to play a pivotal role in delivering clean energy infrastructure safely, we want to hear from you.

The Role

As the HSE Site Manager, you will be the boots on the ground ensuring our projects meet the highest safety standards. You will be responsible for driving a positive safety culture, managing risk, and ensuring total compliance from breaking ground to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HSE lead on-site, providing expert guidance on CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Develop, review, and strictly enforce the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) and Risk Assessments / Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Conduct regular site audits, incident investigations, and hazard identifications, implementing swift corrective actions.
  • Lead site inductions, tool-box talks, and champion a proactive "safety-first" culture among subcontractors and delivery teams.

What We’re Looking For

Industry Experience:

  • Proven track record as an HSE Manager/Supervisor specifically within Renewable Energy (Wind, Solar, BESS, or Biomass) or major civil construction projects.

  • Deep expertise in managing CDM regulations and drafting/executing Construction Phase Plans.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum requirement).
  • Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Ideally holds a valid CSCS card (Black/Gold).

Flexibility:

  • This is a field-based role requiring travel and working away from home across the UK.
