EHS Manager

Location

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire (On-site)

Managing Director (Direct) | Divisional EHS Manager (Dotted Line)

2 (Snr. EHS Advisor & Snr. Sustainability Advisor)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee site EHS&S strategies, legal compliance, ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards, and EcoVadis Platinum initiatives.
  • Lead high-risk safety governance including DSEAR compliance, PUWER equipment upgrades, and risk assessments.
  • Act as key liaison with regulatory bodies (HSE, Environment Agency) and Group stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor operational teams to foster an engaging, proactive "zero harm" culture.

Key Requirements

  • Qualifications: Level 6 Occupational Health & Safety qualification and CMIOSH status (essential).
  • Experience: 5+ years leading EHS in high-risk engineering or regulated manufacturing (DSEAR, PUWER, clean/GMP, or chemical environments).
  • Leadership Style: Authentic, collaborative, and pragmatic team player who builds genuine engagement without corporate bureaucracy.
  • Flexibility: On-site presence supporting 24/5 shift patterns as required.

Package & Benefits

  • Base Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 per annum
