QSHE Manager – Manufacturing

Salary

DOE + car/car allowance + benefits

Hours

Full-time, permanent

About our client

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer.

Our client manufactures in the UK and installs nationwide. It also provides independent testing and COSHH Regulation 9 compliance services, and works with major construction contractors and laboratory furniture suppliers on complex lab projects. Because of that range, QSHE is central to how the business runs, so they now need an experienced QSHE Manager to own and develop it.

The role

You'll lead Quality, Safety, Health and Environment across the whole business. That covers the manufacturing facility, installation teams on construction sites and field service engineers working in labs across the country. The role is hands-on and high-profile: you'll report to senior management and influence how the business grows.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining and improving the integrated management system to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, including leading external certification audits
  • Running the internal audit programme, and managing non-conformances, corrective actions and continual improvement
  • Making sure the business meets health and safety law, including the Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER and CDM 2015
  • Writing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), safe systems of work and policies for the factory, installation work and field service
  • Supporting project teams with principal contractor requirements, site inductions and pre-qualification submissions such as CHAS, SafeContractor, Constructionline and SSIP schemes
  • Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, finding root causes and reporting under RIDDOR where needed
  • Managing product quality, including inspection processes, customer complaints, supplier quality and conformance with relevant standards such as BS EN 14175
  • Managing environmental compliance, including waste, aspects and impacts, and sustainability initiatives
  • Planning and delivering QSHE training, toolbox talks and inductions, and keeping training records up to date
  • Carrying out site inspections and safety tours in the factory and at project sites
  • Reporting QSHE performance, KPIs and trends to the leadership team
  • Building a positive, proactive safety culture across the business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
