SHE / SHEQ Manager – Inverness

Working for a Tier 1 contractor, supporting the delivery of major infrastructure and construction projects across the North of Scotland.

Your Location: Inverness / North of Scotland

Project Location: Inverness, with travel across multiple project sites in the region

Working pattern: Office and project-based, with regular travel across the North of Scotland

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 basic + Car / Car allowance + Bonus + Package

SHE / SHEQ Manager Role Description

The Resolute Group is working with a Tier 1 contractor to secure a Health and Safety/SHE/SHEQ Manager based in Inverness to support a portfolio of major projects across the North of Scotland.

This is a regional role rather than a single-site position. You will work across multiple live projects, supporting Project Directors, operational teams, site management, clients and supply chain partners to ensure the highest standards of Safety, Health and Environmental performance are maintained throughout project delivery.

The client is open to sector background. You could come from major civil engineering, construction, rail, highways, utilities, residential or other large-scale project environments. You do not need previous power or transmission experience.

The key requirement is that you are used to operating at a senior SHE/SHEQ level on large projects, ideally within a Tier 1 or major contractor environment, and are comfortable managing priorities across a geographical region and multiple sites.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
