About Amber Labs

Amber Labs is a fast-growing UK technology consultancy delivering digital transformation across enterprise, government and regulated sectors. We specialise in cloud, data, software engineering, user-centred design and AI, helping organisations deliver better services through modern technology and agile ways of working.

We're currently supporting the delivery of a major national digital transformation programme within the UK public sector and are looking for an experienced Environment Manager to join our growing delivery team.

This role will support the delivery and ongoing operation of critical citizen-facing digital services, ensuring complex Oracle application environments remain stable, secure and available throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

The Role

As an Environment Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing multiple application environments across development, testing, user acceptance and production.

  • Working within multidisciplinary agile teams, you'll collaborate closely with developers, testers, infrastructure teams, DBAs, release managers and solution architects to ensure environments are available, correctly configured and ready to support successful project delivery.
  • You'll play a key role in planning releases, coordinating environment activities, managing dependencies across integrated Oracle platforms and ensuring changes are delivered safely into production.

This role supports a highly secure public sector programme delivering nationally important digital services, where reliability, governance and operational excellence are essential.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
