This opportunity relates to buildings and facilities infrastructure management particularly focusing on ensuring JLR are compliant with environmental aspects (ISO 14001 environmental management) so that JLR pass audits and retain UTAC certification.
The role acts as the technical authority for environmental compliance and risk management, sustainability initiatives, audit preparation and continuous improvement activities. To suit this role, you will have knowledge/awareness of ISO 14001. An interest in environmental auditing and compliance.
What To Expect
- Coordinate site environmental activities, ensuring facilities and services meet business needs while supporting performance within the environmental framework
- Deliver energy efficiency projects, support low carbon technology deployment, and contribute to site and business carbon management planning
- Maintain EMS KPIs, improve EMS processes, lead environmental meetings, and produce environmental content for the site
- Manage the site’s Combustion Permit, ensure compliance with legal and non-legal environmental obligations, and oversee environmental incident tracking
- Lead ISO14001 certification activities, provide evidence for audits, and conduct internal and external environmental audits
- Liaise with wider environmental, sustainability, and energy forums to ensure alignment and share best practice
- Lead metering, monitoring, and network improvement projects to enhance environmental and energy performance across the site

What You’ll Need
- Auditing Skills - As a minimum, you will have an understanding of environmental or sustainability auditing.
- ISO14001 (Environmental Management Standard) - As a minimum, you'll have an understanding of this quality standard; ideally, you will have applied the standard to an environmental engineering / audit role.
- You will have contributed to improving sustainability / environmental improvement initiatives.
- You'll have experience of contributing to environmental / sustainability related projects and governance with the ability to track action and follow protocols in line with project controls.
