An opportunity to join a leading environmental consultancy, specialising in chemical risk assessment for clients across the chemicals, biocides and PPP sectors.

You’ll work on a variety of technical projects supporting the environmental risk assessment of chemicals, developing expertise in chemical exposure, environmental fate and regulatory risk assessment.

Your work will include:

  • Assessing the environmental fate, behaviour and effects of chemicals
  • Modelling and interpreting environmental exposure data
  • Undertaking chemical exposure and regulatory risk assessments
  • Supporting clients with regulatory requirements in the UK, EU and internationally
  • Preparing technical reports and delivering presentations

Projects cover a diverse range of substances including industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metals, biocides and plant protection products.

You’ll ideally have:

  • An MSc or higher in chemistry, biology, toxicology, environmental science or a related discipline
  • An interest in chemical risk assessment and environmental science
  • Ideally 1–2 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience of REACH, chemical exposure/risk assessment or environmental consultancy would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and scientific communication skills
