ENVIRONMENTAL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Location: London – SE18 area

Pay: £14.80 per hour / Weekly Pay

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: 5 days per week (including weekends) – between 07:00–22:00

Contract: Flexible / Temporary

About The Role

Kingdom is recruiting Environmental Enforcement Officers in London (SE18) to help tackle environmental crime and improve local spaces.

This is a varied, field-based role where you’ll be on the frontline engaging with the public, enforcing regulations, and supporting the local authority to keep the area clean, safe, and welcoming.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Patrolling local areas to identify environmental offences
  • Enforcing regulations relating to littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, and waste management
  • Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and carrying out follow-ups
  • Investigating incidents and gathering evidence
  • Responding to complaints from the public
  • Preparing case files and supporting legal proceedings where required
  • Using surveillance equipment where necessary
  • Educating residents and businesses to promote compliance

  • Confident communicator with strong people skills
  • Professional and calm in challenging situations
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Willingness to complete training and development
  • Previous enforcement, security, or customer-facing experience (desirable)

  • Role is initially offered on a temporary basis
