Location: Chichester District Council, East Pallant House, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1TY

Pay: £13.45 per hour | Weekly Pay

Hours: 40+ Hours per week

Shifts: 5 days per week (including weekends) between 06:00 and 20:00

Contract: Flexible / Temporary

About The Role

Are you passionate about protecting the environment and making a real difference in your local community?

Kingdom is recruiting Environmental Enforcement Officers to work in partnership with Chichester District Council, helping to tackle environmental crime and maintain clean, safe public spaces across the district.

This is a varied, outdoor role where you will engage with the public, investigate environmental offences, and take appropriate enforcement action when required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for a variety of environmental crime offences
  • Patrolling public areas to identify environmental offences
  • Enforcing regulations relating to littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, dog fouling, and waste management
  • Investigating incidents and gathering evidence
  • Responding to reports and complaints from members of the public
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports
  • Supporting enforcement actions and legal proceedings where required
  • Educating residents and businesses to encourage environmental compliance
  • Representing Kingdom and the Council in a professional manner at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Professional, approachable, and able to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends
  • Previous enforcement, security, customer service, or public-facing experience is desirable
