ITility is seeking a mission-focused Environmental Engineering Support Specialist to support a civil engineering opportunity in the UK. This position is part of a proposal, and we are using this job posting to identify personnel. The role supports USAFE at RAF Mildenhall, UK.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of environmental planning concepts, principles, and practices, and familiarity with UK town planning, environmental impact assessment (EIA) frameworks, and natural/cultural sciences to conduct thorough technical impact analyses.
  • Possess knowledge of a broad range of UK environmental compliance standards, statutory regulations, and planning procedures as they relate to infrastructure and facilities development. Familiarity with US/Air Force environmental planning policies, including the Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP/NEPA) and Air Force environmental directives, is highly desired to analyze technical submittals.
  • Have knowledge of automated data processing concepts and standard environmental tracking databases to manage document workflows, action items, and environmental mitigation requirements. Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly adapt to, US Government/Air Force systems and workflows (e.g., eDASH, AF Form 813 routing processes) is highly desired.
  • Possess knowledge of functional design techniques and skill in preparing and reviewing technical project documentation, to include analyzing engineering drawings, specifications, and project scopes; and analytical skills sufficient to identify site constraints, environmental impacts, and necessary mitigation measures.
  • Manage site/facility environmental reviews; to analyze and interpret technical data, UK environmental rules, and planning laws; and to draft timely, compliant, and technically sound project recommendations for the government project manager.
  • Organize technical tasks, synthesize data across multiple environmental and engineering disciplines, and communicate complex technical compliance information effectively, both orally and in writing, to facilitate stakeholder and regulatory coordination.
  • Shall be responsible for managing the environmental compliance and planning phases of assigned surge projects.
  • They shall assist in drafting AF Form 813 workflows, project design integration, and track project mitigation requirements across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of four (4) years of professional-level experience in project management, with a demonstrated focus on environmental project management, EIAP/NEPA compliance, and regulatory comment resolution.
  • Experience should demonstrate the ability to analyze engineering submittals to identify project site constraints and recommend measures to reduce risks and environmental impacts.
  • They shall have professional familiarity with DoD/USAF environmental directives (specifically DAFI 32-1015), overseas compliance mandates, and host-nation (UK) environmental regulations.
  • A project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or UK equivalent) and/or a relevant environmental certification is highly desired.
