About the role

As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our operations across Northern UK, partnering closely with depot, field service, sales and operational teams to drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance across a multi-site environment.

This is a highly visible, field-based role where you'll partner with field engineers, depot teams and operational managers across Northern UK, driving safety improvements through regular site visits, coaching and practical EHS support. If you enjoy being out in the field rather than behind a desk, this is the role for you.

What you'll be doing

  • Partnering with operational teams to provide practical, day-to-day EHS advice and support across multiple depots and customer sites.
  • Supporting field engineers, depot teams and managers in identifying hazards, assessing risks and implementing practical control measures.
  • Driving compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, company standards and customer requirements.
  • Conducting regular site inspections, audits and safety tours, ensuring actions are completed and improvements are embedded.
  • Promoting a proactive safety culture by coaching, influencing and engaging employees at all levels.
  • Supporting incident investigations, identifying root causes and helping implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of EHS training, toolbox talks and safety communications.
  • Supporting contractor management, including pre-qualification, site monitoring and compliance reviews.
  • Reviewing and supporting Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for operational activities.
  • Maintaining accurate EHS records and supporting reporting through internal systems.
  • Supporting internal and external audits, certification activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
