Environmental Innovation Engineer

Following continued growth and internal progression, we’re looking for an Environmental Innovation Engineer to join our growing team at Cura Terrae Water, formerly EMS (Environmental Monitoring Solutions). You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering cutting-edge, data-driven solutions to improve wastewater systems, including the application of AI-enhanced optimisation, hydraulic modelling, and advanced analytics.

With programming and data analysis skills, you’ll be best placed to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, build predictive models, and support evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.

Working on high-impact innovation projects across the UK water sector, you'll help transform how wastewater networks are understood, managed, and improved. If you’re passionate about sustainable infrastructure and translating complex data into real-world environmental outcomes, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Innovation Delivery

  • Design AI-enhanced, data-driven tools and proof-of-concept solutions using real-world operational data.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure models align with physical and operational realities.
  • Translate analytics into actionable insights via clear reports and visualisations.

Hydraulic & Geospatial Modelling

  • Update and interpret models (e.g., InfoWorks ICM, EPA SWMM) for optimisation, planning, and benchmarking.
  • Perform scenario analyses to test and compare intervention strategies.
  • Integrate hydraulic modelling with AI and other digital tools.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
