Environmental Advisor | Major Energy Infrastructure Projects | Doncaster / Sheffield

Are you an Environmental Advisor looking to work on some of the UK's most significant energy infrastructure projects?

We are supporting a leading engineering contractor delivering major Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and Data Centre projects across the Yorkshire region. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Environmental Advisor to join their project team and play a key role in driving environmental compliance, sustainability and best practice across multiple live construction sites.

This is a site-based position offering the opportunity to work on technically complex projects within a business that continues to secure major infrastructure schemes across the UK.

The Role

As Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting project teams throughout both pre-construction and delivery phases, ensuring environmental standards are maintained and continually improved.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting environmental audits, inspections and aspect and impact assessments.
  • Supporting environmental compliance with company, client and regulatory requirements.
  • Producing project-specific environmental documentation including CEMPs, WMPs and Aspect & Impact Registers.
  • Delivering environmental training, toolbox talks and awareness initiatives.
  • Investigating environmental incidents and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supporting environmental planning during pre-construction phases.
  • Monitoring environmental performance and producing regular reports and KPI data.
  • Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, clients and stakeholders.
  • Driving sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement across projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
