Environmental Manager
London, United Kingdom | EMEA | Approximately 50% travel
Role Summary
As Environmental Manager, you will be the regional voice for environmental management across STACK Infrastructure EMEA, helping embed a consistent, high-quality approach throughout the full lifecycle of our data centre facilities. Based in London and working across the EMEA portfolio, you will partner closely with EHS, project, facility and sustainability teams to strengthen environmental performance, maintain compliance and drive continual improvement.
This is a highly visible regional role for someone who combines strong environmental expertise with practical delivery, confident stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence teams across multiple countries and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent STACK Infrastructure as the environmental lead across the EMEA portfolio, supporting the Senior Director EHS - EMEA in meeting company protocols and applicable legislative requirements.
- Establish, maintain and promote an ISO 14001-compliant Environmental Management System (EMS), including effective maintenance of environmental legal registers.
- Monitor environmental performance across projects and operational facilities, developing inspection schedules and benchmarking to support continual improvement.
- Establish, analyse and report environmental KPIs, leading and lagging data, dashboards and improvement opportunities across EMEA.
- Provide environmental guidance on incident management and lead Root Cause Analysis investigations, including clear escalation, senior-management briefings and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Work collaboratively with EHS peers, Project and Facility teams, and the EMEA Sustainability function to develop and deliver environmental initiatives.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including enforcing authorities, and represent STACK professionally on environmental matters.
- Identify environmental competence and training needs, and capture learning, innovation and good practice that can be shared across the wider STACK portfolio.
- Promote environmental topics through EHS forums and other required meetings, ensuring actions are followed through to completion.

What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in an environmental role within the data centre sector.
- Knowledge of environmental legislative requirements across the region and experience applying them in practice.
- Experience working in critical systems environments, with exposure to construction methodology.
- A recognised regional or international environmental qualification; a recognised Health & Safety qualification such as the NEBOSH Certificate is preferred.
- ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training or certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders and external authorities.
- Excellent reporting, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt quickly to changing scenarios.
- A collaborative, impartial and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage your own workload while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Fluent written and spoken English, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
