Environmental Noise Consultant

We are looking for an Environmental Noise Consultant to join our growing environmental consultancy team. You will work across a varied portfolio of projects, supporting clients with environmental noise assessments, monitoring, modelling and regulatory compliance.

What you will do

  • Plan and carry out attended and unattended noise monitoring using specialist acoustic equipment.
  • Complete environmental noise impact assessments in line with relevant legislation, standards and guidance.
  • Analyse and interpret noise monitoring data and provide clear, practical recommendations.
  • Undertake noise modelling using appropriate acoustic software.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports for clients, planning applications and regulatory submissions.
  • Support assessments relating to new developments, industrial operations, plant and equipment, transportation and other environmental noise sources.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, regulators, planners and other technical professionals.
  • Provide practical advice to clients on noise mitigation, compliance and environmental best practice.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary environmental and technical teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.

  • Keep up to date with changes in relevant legislation, standards and industry guidance.
  • Support client development, proposals and quotations where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
