Location: Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh EH15 3RD

Hourly Rate: £13.45 Per Hour

Hours: 4 ON 4 OFF, 22.5 hours per week

Role Overview And Purpose

We are looking to appoint a proactive cleaner to deliver a clean and safe shopping environment for all our customers and staff. As an ABM cleaning operative your role is to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of all external areas of the shopping center, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, litter-pick, and wash external walkways, entrances, car parks, and communal areas.
  • Empty and clean external bins and replace liners as needed.
  • Remove chewing gum, graffiti, and other stubborn stains from surfaces.
  • Clean external signage, bollards, benches, and other fixtures.
  • Monitor and report any hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow/ice removal, and pressure washing.
  • Support with event setup/cleanup and other ad hoc duties as required.
  • Follow health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and report faults or supply needs.
