Environmental Protection Officer
Lancashire Based Council
6-Month Contract
£35-£45 per hour (DOE)
37 Hours Per Week
Hybrid Working – 3 Days On Site

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with Lancashire Based Council who are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Protection Officer on an interim 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy local authority team and work across a broad range of Environmental Protection functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigation and enforcement of statutory nuisance complaints.
- Noise nuisance investigations.
- Pollution control and environmental permitting.
- Private water supplies.
- Planning consultations.
- General environmental protection duties.

Requirements
- Previous experience working within a local authority Environmental Protection team.
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Protection legislation and enforcement.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Please Note
The council is open to candidates with experience across all areas of Environmental Protection, mostly being:
- Planning and Licensing Consultations
- Environmental Permitting Inspections and Complaints
- ASB / Statutory nuisance complaints – Commercial and domestic
- Public health complaints
- Private Water Supplies

Contract Details
- 6-month initial contract with potential extension.
- 37 hours per week.
- Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week on site.
- Competitive rate of £35-£45 per hour, dependent on experience.
- Interviews taking place immediately with a view to start within the next two weeks.
