Environmental Health Officer / Technical Officer
π Norfolk
π· Β£45.00 - Β£47.00 per hour
π 6-Month Contract | Hybrid Working Available
We are currently working with a Local Authority in Norfolk seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer (EHO) or Technical Officer to join their Environmental Protection and Community Safety team on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a contractor with a strong background in environmental enforcement, anti-social behaviour investigations, and community safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and manage Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases.
- Respond to and resolve noise and statutory nuisance complaints.
- Undertake enforcement relating to environmental crime, including fly-tipping and waste offences.
- Carry out inspections, gather evidence, and prepare case files.
- Issue warnings, notices, and take enforcement action where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with Housing, Police, Community Safety teams, and other stakeholders.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to residents and businesses.

Essential Experience
- β Local Authority experience within Environmental Health, Environmental Protection, Public Protection, or Community Safety.
- β
Proven experience dealing with:
- Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
- Noise & Nuisance
- Environmental Crime
- Fly-Tipping
- Waste Enforcement
- Community Safety
- β Strong knowledge of relevant environmental and enforcement legislation.
- β Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
- β Full UK driving licence preferred.
