An opportunity for an experienced environmental risk assessment and exposure modelling specialist to join a scientific consultancy supporting chemical, pharmaceutical, and industrial clients.

You will undertake environmental exposure and risk assessments under regulatory frameworks including UK/EU REACH, Biocides, and human and veterinary medicines.

The Role

  • Conduct environmental exposure and risk assessments
  • Develop PEC/PNEC assessments and Risk Characterisation Ratios (RCRs)
  • Undertake exposure modelling using tools such as EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM, and SimpleTreat
  • Develop and refine exposure scenarios using ERCs, SPERCs, and site-specific data
  • Review environmental fate, ecotoxicity, emissions, and monitoring data
  • Prepare Chemical Safety Reports, Exposure Scenarios, and eSDS
  • Provide clear technical and regulatory advice to clients

About You

  • Experience in environmental risk assessment, exposure modelling, or chemical risk assessment, ideally gained within consultancy, industry, or a regulatory environment.
  • Experience of UK/EU REACH, EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM, and SimpleTreat, PEC/PNEC assessment, environmental fate, or ecotoxicology would be particularly valuable.
  • A relevant scientific background in environmental science, chemistry, ecotoxicology, toxicology, or a related discipline is preferred.
