Environmental & Sustainability Advisor | Power Generation, Energy Infrastructure & BESS

Manchester - Permanent

Environmental & Sustainability Advisor required to join a well-established engineering business operating within the power generation and energy infrastructure sector. This is a position where you'll have the opportunity to influence environmental performance, carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives across a growing organisation delivering complex engineering projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and improving the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
  • Supporting carbon reduction and Net Zero initiatives
  • Greenhouse gas accounting and carbon reporting
  • Scope 3 emissions assessments and supply chain engagement
  • Supporting Carbon Reduction Plans and sustainability strategies
  • Environmental audits and compliance activities
  • Producing sustainability and environmental performance reports
  • Supporting major project and tender submissions
  • Driving environmental improvement initiatives across the business

You'll Ideally Have

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or similar
  • MIEMA, FIEMA or CIWEM membership
  • Experience operating and maintaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting and carbon reporting
  • Experience with Scope 3 emissions assessments
  • Sustainability reporting experience
  • Understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence
