The Environmental Sustainability Lead will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting Orbit's environmental and sustainability programme across the organisation. The role will ensure the effective implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of Orbit's Environmental Management System (EMS), supporting compliance with ISO 14001 while preparing the organisation for the transition to the revised 2026 ISO 14001 standard.
Working closely with operational teams, contractors and external assurance bodies, the coordinator will embed environmental best practice throughout Orbits developments and wider business operations. Alongside ensuring compliance, the role will help drive sustainability initiatives that contribute towards Orbit Earth ambitions, including Net Zero Carbon, Biodiversity (30by30), waste reduction and responsible resource management. This role requires a proactive individual who can engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, turning environmental commitments into practical actions across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
