Are you an Environmental or Sustainability professional looking to take ownership of environmental management, carbon reduction and sustainability programmes for a leading international Power Generation company, with clear opportunities for progression and a wide range of company benefits?
A leading international power generation specialist delivering low-carbon energy and battery storage solutions. Established in the 1980s, the business designs, builds and maintains systems including gas engines, CHP, biogas, landfill gas and large-scale batteries. They work with public sector bodies, industrial clients and energy developers to deliver turnkey projects supporting energy efficiency and net zero goals. With over 200 employees and a strong international presence, the organisation is known for its technical expertise, sustainable solutions and commitment to delivering reliable power generation systems.
In this role, you will lead the company's environmental management and sustainability programmes, driving carbon reduction strategies, supporting Net Zero commitments and overseeing environmental reporting and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System. You will work across the business to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, ISO standards, customer requirements and emerging sustainability obligations.

This role would suit an Environmental Manager, Sustainability Manager or similar looking to take ownership of environmental and sustainability initiatives within a growing organisation that offers training, development and long-term progression.
The Role:
- Lead environmental and sustainability programmes, driving carbon reduction, Net Zero and climate initiatives
- Manage ISO 14001, environmental compliance, audits and continual improvement
- Oversee carbon accounting, Scope 3 emissions, sustainability reporting and environmental data
- Support major public sector and infrastructure tenders, including Carbon Reduction Plans and PPN 06/21
- Monitor environmental legislation and emerging sustainability requirements, ensuring the business remains compliant and ahead of change

The Person:
- Degree in Environmental Science or similar, with MIEMA/FIEMA or CIWEM membership
- Knowledge of ISO 14064, PPN 06/21, ESRS and environmental legislation
- Commutable to Manchester and happy to travel
