We're looking for an Environment Technician to join our Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services team based in Northampton.

Location: Northampton

Hours: 45 per week, Monday to Friday

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a newly established role within a forward-thinking team. As an Environment Technician, you will play a key part in ensuring Anglian Water remains compliant with the Streetworks Protocol, by carrying out sampling of waste materials such as soil and asphalt across the region. Working within the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services team, you'll be supporting the maintenance of water supply systems and helping to develop new ways to better service customers.

What will you be responsible for?

As An Environment Technician, You'll Be Working Within The Integrated Maintenance, Repair And Development Services Team, Supporting Them In Maintaining Compliance With Environmental Regulations And The Streetworks Protocol. Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Collecting soil and asphalt samples from excavations across the Anglian Water region
  • Recording and submitting samples to approved laboratories, then processing results and uploading to internal systems
  • Auditing compliance with the Streetworks Protocol and reviewing on-site practices with dig teams
  • Providing advice on waste handling and management plans based on sampling results
  • Championing site safety and embedding Safer Every Day principles across all sampling activities
