An exciting opportunity for an experienced rail E&P Construction Manager to join our team in the Wales & Western regions working on a portfolio of engineering associated E&P rail projects including mechanical, electrical, Electrification, power and signalling schemes.
Business Unit
A busy and fast-paced rail project environment working on a variety of schemes associated with E&P railways infrastructure and associated civils / signalling interface. The business unit is made up of a variety of projects and frameworks specialising in M&E (mechanical & electrical), electrification, signalling, power, lighting projects for our client in the Western & Wales regions.
The Role
As Construction Manager, you will be reporting to the senior project management team and will be accountable for the effective control and management of all on-site works being the first point of contact for delivery, health and safety, and Quality. Day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Planning the delivery of site work
- Maintaining and updating site records
- Writing and reviewing WPP’s (work package plans) and task briefs
- Compiling daily work progress sheets
- Monitoring performance against delivery targets
- Resource planning and management including best utilisation of resource, having focus on budgetary constraints and cost effectiveness
- Overseeing health and safety on site
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Works Manager/ Site Manager/Construction Manager in a rail environment working on M&E, Electrification, power projects for Network Rail.
- PTS
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- Experience as a Construction Manager/Site Manager/Works Manager in a rail contracting environment
- Experience in rail working on projects associated with M&E, Electrification, power, etc.
