Job Title: Epicor Finance Consultant (Contract)
We are looking for an experienced Epicor Finance Consultant to join a client on a contract basis, providing specialist support across Epicor Finance, system optimisation and ongoing ERP improvements. This role will have some travel within Europe.
About the Role
The ideal consultant will have a strong background in Epicor financial modules and accounting processes, combined with experience supporting global and European finance operations. You will ideally have worked across multiple countries, legal entities and currencies and understand the complexities of delivering consistent financial processes across an international organisation.
Alongside their finance expertise, the successful consultant will bring some transferable technical skills, allowing them to work effectively across reporting, data, configuration and wider ERP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist functional support across Epicor Finance.
- Support Finance teams across General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and financial reporting.
- Support finance operations across multiple European countries and legal entities.
- Work with stakeholders across different countries, currencies and financial structures.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective Epicor solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Epicor Finance issues.
- Support system configuration, optimisation and process improvements.
- Assist with finance-related ERP projects, upgrades and enhancements.
- Support standardisation of finance processes across international operations.
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and improved processes.
- Support reporting, data and integration requirements.
- Work alongside internal IT teams, developers and Epicor partners where required.
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams.

Global & European Finance Experience
The client is particularly interested in consultants who have worked within international or multi-country finance environments.
Experience should ideally include:
- Supporting finance teams across multiple European countries.
- Multi-company and multi-entity Epicor environments.
- Multi-currency accounting and financial reporting.
- Working with different European statutory and tax requirements.
- Supporting international chart of accounts and financial structures.
- Intercompany accounting and transactions.
- Consolidation and group reporting.
- Standardising finance processes across multiple locations.
- Working with geographically distributed Finance and IT teams.
- Experience supporting European subsidiaries as part of a wider global organisation.
Experience across countries such as the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium or the Nordics would be advantageous.

Technical Skills
Alongside strong Epicor Finance experience, the client is looking for a consultant with some transferable technical capability.
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- Epicor BAQs
- BPMs
- Dashboards
- SSRS / Crystal Reports
- SQL / SQL Server
- Epicor Application Studio
- DMT / Data Migration
- REST APIs and integrations
- Power BI
- Data analysis and reporting
- Epicor Kinetic technical functionality
You do not need to be a full-time Epicor developer. The ability to understand the technical side of Epicor and work effectively with technical teams is more important.
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Epicor Finance.
- Solid accounting and financial process knowledge.
- Proven experience working within global or European finance environments.
- Experience supporting multiple entities, countries and currencies.
- Experience working with Epicor 10 and/or Epicor Kinetic.
- Previous experience delivering Epicor consultancy, support or project work.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working directly with Finance and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a contract environment.
- Some technical Epicor, reporting or data skills.
