Epilepsy Senior Specialist Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated nurse to join the Epilepsy Service at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Band 7 Epilepsy Senior Specialist Nurse. This is a rewarding role for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and improving outcomes for people living with epilepsy.

As part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist assessment, support, and clinical management for patients across the epilepsy pathway. You will work closely with neurologists, specialist nurses, allied health professionals, primary care colleagues, and community partners to ensure patients receive seamless, evidence-based care. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual with excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Applicants must have a strong clinical background in neurology, with substantial experience in epilepsy care highly desirable. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of epilepsy and related neurological conditions, including their assessment, treatment, and long-term management, and be confident working autonomously within a specialist role.

Independent prescribing is highly desirable for this role but is not essential, and candidates without a prescribing qualification are equally encouraged to apply.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
