Programme Director – Joint Enterprise EPR Transformation Programme

Location: North West England
Contract: 2-Year Fixed Term Contract
Sector: NHS / Healthcare Digital Transformation

The Opportunity

A leading NHS collaboration across two North West Trusts is seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead the development and delivery of a transformational joint Enterprise Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme.

This is a high-profile strategic role responsible for driving the vision, governance, and implementation readiness of a single, structured, real-time healthcare record that will support improved clinical pathways, operational efficiency, and future models of care.

Working closely with Executive Teams, senior clinical stakeholders, digital leadership, and the Integrated Care Board (ICB), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the programme from business case development through procurement, implementation planning, and transition into business as usual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and overall programme direction for the joint Trust-wide EPR transformation.
  • Lead the development, approval, and delivery of the Full Business Case (FBC), ensuring alignment with organisational digital strategies and clinical priorities.
  • Establish robust programme governance, reporting structures, risk management, and assurance frameworks.
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Teams, clinical leaders, operational stakeholders, and the ICB to ensure successful programme alignment.
  • Coordinate procurement activity, supplier engagement, contract negotiations, and implementation planning.
  • Oversee key readiness activities including data migration strategy, clinical engagement, workflow optimisation, and change management.
  • Ensure the programme delivers a fit-for-purpose EPR solution that supports safe, effective, and digitally enabled healthcare delivery.
  • Build strong relationships across both Trusts, creating collaboration and ownership across all levels of the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
