Rostering Project Support Officer (PSO) - Shared EPR

Subject to Job Evaluation

Full time (37.5 hours per week) - Fixed term / secondment until 31st December 2027

The BSW Hospitals Group – Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH) and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT) – is delivering a shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across all three Trusts. This major digital transformation programme aims to improve quality and safety, enable more efficient working practices, and deliver a better experience for patients and staff.

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Rostering Programme Support Officer to play a central role in the delivery of the BSW EPR Programme for a fixed term / secondment of 18 months. Working across the organisations locations as required, the post holder will provide central support across the BSW EPR Programme, providing high-level project and programme coordination across all three local care organisations: Great Western Hospital (GWH), Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT), and Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH). The post holder acts as the central team’s point of coordination, supporting consistent and effective programme delivery for Human Resources transactions within the programme across the Group in accordance with agreed quality, time and financial parameters.

Main duties of the job

The role acts as the key point of contact for the electronic rostering system and ESR (NHS National Electronic Staff Record system) queries, working closely with payroll and HR to ensure data accuracy for pay and pension purposes, while also supporting onboarding and producing reports to inform workforce planning. The successful candidate will bring strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of NHS workforce systems, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for the receipt, handling, and appropriate routing of highly sensitive, privileged, and commercially confidential programme information across all three organisations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
