Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Officer – Patient Experience (Band 6)

Are you passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion? Do you believe that everyone should have equitable access to high-quality healthcare and the opportunity to have their voice heard?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Officer – Patient Experience to lead our patient-focused EDI agenda and help ensure services are shaped by the communities we serve. This exciting role offers the opportunity to influence change across the Trust, improve patient experiences, and champion the needs of diverse and seldom-heard communities.

What you'll do

  • Lead and develop the Trust's patient-focused EDI programme.
  • Work directly with patients, carers, community organisations and protected characteristic groups.
  • Analyse patient feedback and experience data to identify health inequalities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support co-production and engagement initiatives that ensure every community has a voice in shaping services.
  • Lead Equality Delivery System (EDS) work and support compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to embed inclusive practice throughout the organisation.
