Equine Practice Cleaner (Part-Time)
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive Cleaner to join our team at our busy Equine Veterinary Clinic.
This is a part-time position of 12 hours per week, ideally worked across three days, although we are happy to be flexible for the right candidate.
About The Role
As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clinic remains clean, hygienic, professional, and welcoming at all times. Working within a veterinary environment means maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout both client-facing and staff areas.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning of clinical, office, and communal areas
- Dusting and wiping down all surfaces
- Hoovering, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Cleaning interior glass windows and doors
- Removal of cobwebs
- Emptying bins and replacing bin liners as required
- Transporting rubbish to the designated waste storage area
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washroom facilities
- Restocking consumables such as toilet rolls, hand towels, and soap
- Full cleaning and upkeep of kitchen areas, including:
- Cleaning worktops, sinks, tables and chairs
- Wiping down cupboards and appliance exteriors
- Emptying and cleaning food waste bins
- Ensuring kitchen areas are clean, hygienic and tidy for staff use
- Stripping down, deep cleaning, and preparing bedsits and staff flats on a rota basis
- Ensuring all areas are kept tidy, presentable, and smelling fresh
- Reporting any maintenance or housekeeping issues identified during cleaning duties

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail
- Is reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
- Has a proactive approach and can work independently
- Has a keen eye for cleanliness and organisation
- Understands the importance of maintaining high hygiene standards
- Presents themselves professionally and communicates clearly
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential

Hours
- 12 hours per week
- Ideally spread across 3 days
- Working pattern is negotiable
- Client-facing areas should be cleaned outside of normal consulting hours, therefore some early morning, evening or flexible working may be required
