Job Description

Position Summary

The Equipment Coordinator, Survey & Subsea Sensors, coordinates the onshore preparation, inspection, maintenance, calibration, repair, mobilization, and asset control of Survey Services equipment. The scope includes surface positioning and GNSS systems, subsea acoustics, AUV and ROV survey sensors, conventional geophysical, light geotechnical, and associated support equipment. The position supports GEO and S&P operations with increased responsibility and autonomy under the direction of the Equipment Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Manage equipment inventory and availability, maintaining accurate asset, utilization, maintenance, calibration, and certification records within PeopleSoft/URSA.
  • Coordinate and perform inspection, maintenance, calibration, certification, repair, and technical troubleshooting activities to maintain equipment readiness and reliability.
  • Plan and support equipment preparation, mobilization, and demobilization for routine and complex field operations across multiple teams.
  • Coordinate domestic and international equipment movements, including transportation, storage, deployment, retrieval, waybills, inventories, and commercial documentation.
  • Collaborate with SCM, suppliers, and service providers, to source equipment, parts, and services, create and track requisitions, assign part numbers, and support required delivery dates.
  • Verify equipment compliance with applicable company, client, industry, and regulatory requirements, escalating identified gaps as required.
  • Support equipment inspections and audits and coordinate associated corrective actions.
  • Provide timely technical assistance and troubleshooting support to field teams and other operational stakeholders.
  • Deliver equipment-use and safety training to field personnel and coordinate technician cross-training across CNAV, GEO, and S&P activities.
  • Act as a designated power user and trainer for applicable equipment and asset-management systems, including URSA where required.
  • Maintain workshop Standard Operating Procedures, forms, and checklists for Survey, GEO, and S&P equipment activities.
  • Raise, investigate, and support the closure of equipment-related non-conformances and corrective and preventive actions in accordance with the quality management system.
  • Oversee applicable PeopleSoft and OMS maintenance programmes and ensure equipment records remain current.
  • Coordinate intercompany and third-party equipment rental requirements and support equipment needs across applicable regional and global operations.
  • Promote safe equipment handling and working practices in accordance with company HSE requirements.
  • Undertake other duties reasonably aligned with the scope and level of the position.

Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in equipment management within the oil and gas industry; experience with survey, subsea, or tooling equipment.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills, technical proficiency with Survey & Subsea Sensors equipment, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer literacy to allow for interface with company and management systems.
  • Proficient in both independent and team-oriented tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; verbal and written.
  • Ability to receive direction and apply imagination to completion.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, working at heights, and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Must have the ability to meet company and client certification standards.
  • Proven track record in quality control and assurance, ensuring high standards in deliverables.
  • Familiarity with HSE and quality programs, with a commitment to upholding company standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

Desired

  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Demonstrable awareness of 5S, 6S, and lean principles.
  • Experience of working in a global organization across multiple locations, including offshore.
  • Experience in training and supporting field personnel.
