We’re looking for an experienced Equipment Consultant

We’re looking for an experienced Equipment Consultant to join our Equipment team and help dental practices find the right equipment solutions for their business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, relationship-focused sales professional to take ownership of a territory and work closely with customers throughout their equipment journey. From understanding a practice’s requirements and recommending the right solution, through to quotations, demonstrations and overseeing installations, you’ll provide a consultative approach that puts the customer at the heart of every decision.

Working alongside colleagues across DD Group, you’ll develop new and existing customer relationships, identify opportunities to grow your territory and promote our wider equipment and services offering, while delivering against your sales targets.

🦷 Main duties

  • Sell capital dental equipment and associated services to new and existing customers, delivering a high-quality customer experience throughout.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, taking the time to understand their requirements and recommend equipment and solutions that best meet their needs.
  • Develop and manage your territory, identifying new opportunities and building a strong pipeline of prospective business.
  • Achieve annual sales targets and objectives in line with the wider Equipment sales strategy.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts and customer activity through the Company’s CRM.
  • Prepare customer quotations and support the management of customer accounts.
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms, balancing customer requirements with the commercial needs of the business.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations, clearly communicating how our equipment and services can support customers and their practices.
  • Project manage and oversee customer installations where required, working with internal teams to help deliver a smooth experience from sale through to completion.
  • Provide customers with pre- and post-sales support, product education and training.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across DD Group to develop your territory and promote our complete range of products, equipment and services.
  • Support marketing activity through attendance at exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and other industry events.
  • Analyse sales performance and activity to identify opportunities for further territory growth.
  • Proactively generate new business through outbound activity, referrals, networking, targeted territory planning and joint customer visits with colleagues and supplier partners.
  • Position and promote the Dental Directory 360 proposition by identifying opportunities to deliver integrated solutions that combine equipment, consumables, training, support, and finance.
  • Take ownership of opportunities from initial enquiry through quotation, order, site survey, installation and final customer handover.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
