The Opportunity
This Equipment (Supply Chain) Industrial Placement is expected to begin in early September 2027 and offers a starting salary of £26,050, with the opportunity to support one of the UK's largest infrastructure and energy projects.
During this 12-month placement, you'll gain hands-on experience in contract management, supplier engagement, and strategic procurement. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll develop commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills while contributing to a business that's driving the transition towards An Electric Britain.

During your Equipment (Supply Chain Directorate) Industrial Placement, you'll join a collaborative team supporting major procurement and supply chain activities. You'll contribute to supplier performance monitoring, contract management activities, governance processes, and commercial reporting. You'll help analyse data, assess supplier performance, support the use of commercial management tools such as CEMAR and SAP, and assist with the preparation of reports and board papers, while gaining insight into the delivery of a complex infrastructure programme.
Your Work Location
Depending on your skill set and development ambitions, you'll be based at Bristol (Aztec West), with occasional visits to Hinkley Point C (transport to the Hinkley Point C site is provided from several collection points) to support project activities and stakeholder engagement.
This on-site placement provides valuable exposure to both the corporate and operational sides of a major energy project, helping you build relationships across a wide range of teams and suppliers.
Who You Are
To be eligible for this EDF Industrial Placement, you need to be studying towards, or have already achieved, a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geography, Science, Supply Chain and Logistics, or a closely related discipline. You'll have an interest in commercial management, procurement, and supply chain delivery.
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
