Role Overview

We are recruiting for an Electronic Trading Execution Analyst initially on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. You will play an important role in supporting a leading agency equity single-stock and portfolio Trading desks in the EMEA region and globally. This role will enable the individual to use their programming and data skills to create incisive analysis on product usage and market structure content, supporting the sales effort and generating follow up business.

This role reports to the Head of Execution Consulting who in turn reports to the EMEA Head of Execution & Quantitative Services (EQS) who is tasked with developing and support a successful trading department including a trading desk, strategies, TCA & analytics, resources and processes that deliver financial results in alignment with our business objective.

Role Responsibilities

Data Analysis

  • Writing queries and processes to collate data across various different sources
  • Automating client report production and working with analytics development team on future analytic platform developments.
  • Working on designing and prototyping analytics solutions for delivering analysis to clients
  • Transaction Cost Analysis – assist the Trading Desk by:
    • Running Global TCA reports for European clients across all Liquidnet’s products, including Negotiated, Algorithmic trading and Execution Services
    • Responding to inbound member inquiries regarding execution performance for both negotiated and algorithmic trading activity
    • Constructing aggregate statistics on Liquidnet algos to market execution performance to clients

Algo Sales & Development

  • Generating and analyzing Key Performance Indicator data to help manage the sales process.
  • Working with Business Development to provide support for upcoming sales meetings and sales campaigns
  • Working with Marketing to help design and develop marketing materials for EQS products and campaigns
  • Providing relevant data and support materials to keep marketing materials up to date, including design and stats on a quarterly basis or when a change is made to our process/products
  • Assisting quants in analyzing algo performance and providing information on market microstructure
  • Supporting management in producing internal strategy presentations and materials

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • Degree-level qualification, ideally in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, or Statistics
  • Practical programming experience highly desirable: Python, SQL, Pandas
  • Ability and ease of working with large datasets
  • Team-player who enjoys interacting with teams across a number of departments and geographies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong numerical, analytical skills and strong knowledge of statistics
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
