What You’ll Do
- Learn your PM’s and team’s investing process and exchange insights, identify cross-sector themes, and debate investment ideas
- Build and refine detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses of public companies within your sector
- Conduct fundamental research on individual companies, industries, and subsectors to identify emerging risks and potential investment opportunities
- Develop and present actionable investment recommendations directly to your PM
- Attend conferences and industry events
- Build relationships with relevant sell-side analysts, salespeople, and research associates
- Embody Point72’s commitment to ethics, professionalism, integrity, and excellence—especially in partnership with our Compliance team
- Analyze and incorporate macroeconomic and industry-specific developments and trends into your research
- Take advantage of our development and analytics resources to become the best version of yourself as an investor
What’s Required
- 1+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, hedge fund, investment management, private equity or another relevant industry role
- Strong financial modeling and business analysis skills
- Passion for public markets investing
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
