Equity Release Adviser – Self-Employed
OTE: £75,000 – £80,000, with top performers exceeding £100,000
Location: Fully Remote – UK-wide
About the opportunity
Swarm Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established and award-winning specialist equity release business that is experiencing an exciting period of growth. The business has built a successful fully remote model and is now looking to strengthen its adviser team following significant growth in its lead supply.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Equity Release Adviser who wants to focus on advising clients and converting quality opportunities, rather than spending their time chasing cold leads or managing administration.
Our clients have a dedicated Client Services Team that qualifies and triages leads before booking appointments directly into advisers' diaries. Advisers are also supported by dedicated Administration and Compliance teams throughout the process.
Earnings & Commission
- 30% commission on company-generated business
- 60% commission on self-generated business
- Average case value of approximately £4,100, including procuration and adviser fees
- Typical earnings of £75,000–£80,000 OTE
- Top performers have the potential to exceed £100,000
- Advisers typically complete around 5–10 cases per month
- Additional earning potential through self-generated business

Key responsibilities
- Research and present suitable equity release solutions
- Explain recommendations, costs, benefits, and risks clearly
- Build strong client relationships and convert qualified appointments into completed business
- Work closely with Client Services, Administration, and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records and high regulatory standards
- Develop self-generated business and referral opportunities where appropriate
About You
We are looking for an experienced Equity Release Adviser with a proven track record of converting qualified appointments into completed business.
You will ideally have:
- Strong experience within the Equity Release market
- A consistent track record of achieving good completion levels
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- A confident, consultative approach to sales
- Strong organisation and case management skills
- The ability to work independently within a remote environment
- A genuine commitment to providing suitable, compliant, and ethical advice
- A desire to continue developing your technical and sales skills

Working Pattern
- Fully remote – UK-wide
- Self-employed
- Flexible diary management
- Approximately 14–16 first appointments per month
- Typically, one fact-find per day, around four days per week
