Our client, a leading global asset management firm is looking to hire an Equity Research Analyst based in London to cover the Chinese equity market.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, well-established Global Emerging Markets investment team with a strong track record of fundamental, long-term investing. The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for researching and analysing Chinese companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth fundamental research on Chinese companies to identify high conviction investment ideas
- Conduct analysis of company reports and build detailed financial models to support investment recommendations
- Evaluate company business models and economic conditions that impact companies and industries
- Conduct regular meetings with company management, as well as participate in conferences and company visits
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers and other members of the GEM team providing meaningful input into portfolio discussions
- Present investment recommendations and research findings to team and contribute to a collaborative investment debate

Candidate requirements:
- Relevant buy-side equity research experience, ideally with experience covering Chinese markets
- Fluent Mandarin speaker
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Chinese equity markets
- Strong academic background
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbally)
- Collaborative team player
- Intellectually curious and a self-starter
- High levels of integrity, judgement and professionalism
