Equity Research Analyst - Global Media and Internet Sectors

Our client, a leading global asset manager is seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join their Global Equities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering the Global Media and Internet sectors, generating actionable investment insights and supporting Portfolio Managers across a range of investment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental equity research to identify and develop high conviction investment ideas
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the companies and sectors under coverage, including their operational, financial and competitive dynamics
  • Present compelling investment ideas to Portfolio Manager across a range of global strategies
  • Build detailed financial models and undertake analysis of financial performance, returns on capital, valuation and key investment drivers
  • Work closely with other sector analysts to strengthen investment research and idea generation
  • Contribute actively in research meetings, sharing differentiated insights and perspectives with colleagues

Candidate Profile:

  • 8-12+ years of relevant fundamental equity research experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of companies in the Media, Internet and Telecoms sectors
  • Proven ability to find high-conviction investment ideas and articulate them persuasively
  • Strong fundamental research and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent academic background
  • CFA qualification preferred
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in an intellectually rigorous, high-performing investment environment
