Position: Equity Research Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $175 - $300/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Review, assess, and contribute to datasets modeling real-world equity research analysis, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Analyze earnings reports, perform estimate revisions, and synthesize peer benchmarking insights for AI training purposes.
- Deliver detailed written evaluations of company models, including revenue, margin, cash flow, and valuation drivers.
- Produce high-quality, concise written research summaries and event-driven updates based on deep sector expertise.
- Develop and articulate investment theses, connecting qualitative and quantitative factors to actionable perspectives.
- Identify key industry trends, sector-specific metrics, and company catalysts relevant for fundamental analysis.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to provide feedback on data quality and enhance research-related content.

Requirements
- Extensive experience as a sell-side Research Associate with direct ownership of company models and written research, or as a publishing/lead Research Analyst.
- Track record of independently covering multiple companies through several earnings cycles and maintaining comprehensive models.
- Proven ability to connect business drivers to financial outcomes and valuation.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one sector (e.g., banks, insurance, biotech), with the ability to provide deep, specialist insights.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts clearly.
- History of performing granular earnings analysis, peer benchmarking, valuation, and event-driven research updates.
- Experience formulating and defending investment theses and research views, with accountability for research accuracy and quality.
