Program Overview
Brown Advisory is seeking motivated, team-oriented students to join us for an 8-week, on-site Summer Analyst Programme based in our London office from 14th June through 6th August 2027. The programme is designed to provide broad exposure to the investment management industry and the opportunity to learn from colleagues across the firm.

Our immersive programme is designed to build your analytical, strategic, and communication skills through global orientation, dedicated training, and meaningful project work. Throughout the summer, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of teams, including Equity Research, Private Client, Sustainability, Fixed Income, Institutional Sales, Compliance, and Legal.
By collaborating with colleagues across the firm, you’ll develop a holistic understanding of how an investment management firm operates and delivers long-term value to clients. You’ll also have opportunities to engage with senior management, attend and present in meetings, and build relationships with colleagues and fellow Summer Analysts through a variety of networking and social events.
The programme offers a competitive salary, with additional compensation for travel expenses to and from the London office.

Job Description
- This role emphasizes bottom-up research and comprehensive financial analysis to support investment decision-making.
- Produce written research, including financial statement and valuation analysis.
- Prepare investment review notes and present recommendations on covered companies to team members and the wider firm.
- Build detailed financial models for investable companies.
- Attend earnings calls, review business news, annual reports and financial filings, and utilize industry-specific data to support company coverage.
- Use data to help re-engineer our investment processes and/or extract incremental market returns.

Applicant Requirements
- Open to candidates currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Excellent written communication skills, highly motivated and a passion for investing.
- Strong financial analysis, valuation and modeling skills.
- Knowledge of accounting and equity investing is necessary.
- Eager to ask questions, admit mistakes, and learn new things.
- Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
- Understanding of Python and experience with Dash/Streamlit/Java
