Equity Salesperson (Fluent Japanese)
Bilingual Japanese & English / Equity Sales & Research / Senior Opportunity -
An established company specialising in research and advice on Japanese equities is seeking an Equity Salesperson to join its team in Burton-on-Trent.
You will support the development of new business by approaching prospective clients, introducing the company’s research services, and building long-term client relationships.
The ideal candidate should have a business level of fluency in both Japanese and English, with a confident and personable approach to communication.

Main Responsibilities
- Identify and approach prospective clients to introduce the company’s research services
- Present and explain services based on individual client requirements
- Support negotiations and secure new business opportunities to achieve sales targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Respond to client enquiries and provide ongoing customer support
- Understand clients’ investment and research needs and coordinate appropriate services
- Resolve client issues in a professional and timely manner
- Work closely with colleagues to support wider sales and business development activities

Ideal Candidate
- Experience in sales, or research for cash equities (Japanese small/mid-cap preferred, but general equities experience is fine)
- Business level of fluency in both Japanese and English
- Strong interest in developing a career in sales and client relationship management
- Friendly, confident, and engaging communication style
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a team

Conditions
- Location: Burton-on-Trent
- Working Style: office-based for junior candidates, hybrid or remote working may be considered for experienced candidates
- Salary: negotiable depending on experience, plus bonus
- Job Type: permanent, full-time
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:30
- Start: ASAP
