DRW

DRW is a diversified trading firm with over 3 decades of experience bringing sophisticated technology and exceptional people together to operate in markets around the world. We value autonomy and the ability to quickly pivot to capture opportunities, so we operate using our own capital and trading at our own risk.

Headquartered in Chicago with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, we trade a variety of asset classes including Fixed Income, ETFs, Equities, FX, Commodities and Energy across all major global markets. We have also leveraged our expertise and technology to expand into three non-traditional strategies: real estate, venture capital and cryptoassets.

We operate with respect, curiosity and open minds. The people who thrive here share our belief that it’s not just what we do that matters–it's how we do it. DRW is a place of high expectations, integrity, innovation and a willingness to challenge consensus.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We’re open to a broad range of trading backgrounds. We believe a strong trader can learn new products and strategies, so we place more weight on judgement, analytical ability and curiosity than on experience in a particular market.

The role

You’ll help identify, evaluate and execute trading opportunities, manage risk and develop ideas across equities and derivatives. The precise remit will reflect your strengths and evolve as you build experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing market moves, positioning and catalysts to generate trading ideas.
  • Executing trades and managing positions within agreed risk limits.
  • Monitoring exposures, performance and changing market conditions.
  • Developing tools and research to improve trading decisions.
  • Working closely with the team to learn new products and strategies.

Your background

You should currently be in a trading role, with fewer than five years’ professional experience. Relevant backgrounds include one or more of:

  • Single-stock volatility.
  • Delta One or dividend trading.
  • Index volatility.
  • Exotic derivatives.
  • Dispersion strategies.
  • Event-driven or special situations strategies.
  • Index rebalancing.

  • Curiosity about markets and a willingness to learn beyond your current specialism.
  • The ability to make clear decisions under pressure.
  • Ownership of your work and an ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Coding or data-analysis skills would be useful.

You don’t need experience across every area listed. We’re looking for someone with strong foundations and the potential to develop into a versatile trader.
