Employee Relations Advisor | North Birmingham - Hybrid | 3 months interim role | £35,000

Are you an experienced Employee Relations Advisor looking for your next opportunity? We're working with a well-known, highly established brand in North Birmingham who are looking to bring an ER specialist into their HR team on an initial 3-month temporary basis. This is a hands-on role where you'll play an important part in supporting managers across a broad range of employee relations matters. You'll be confident providing practical, commercially focused advice and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are quite the same.

The role

You'll work closely with managers and the wider HR team, providing advice and guidance across areas including:

  • Disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Performance management and capability
  • Absence and attendance management
  • Conducting and supporting investigations
  • Advising managers on HR policies and employment legislation
  • Coaching and supporting managers through ER processes
  • Ensuring cases are handled fairly, consistently and in line with best practice
  • Supporting with wider HR activity as required

About you

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is comfortable managing ER matters with a good degree of autonomy. You'll ideally have previous experience in an ER Advisor, HR Advisor or similar role, with strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and confidence dealing with sometimes complex or sensitive employee relations issues. You'll also be a strong communicator, able to build credibility quickly with managers and provide clear, pragmatic advice.
