Employee Relations Consultant

Leicester | Hybrid Working | £45,000 + Fantastic Benefits Package

Employee Relations is at the heart of every successful organisation. If you're an experienced ER professional who enjoys solving complex people challenges, building trusted relationships with leaders, and providing commercially focused advice, this could be the perfect opportunity.

We're partnering with a leading organisation seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to support managers across a varied and dynamic business. You'll be the go-to expert for all things ER, helping leaders navigate sensitive situations while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.

This is a role where you'll have real influence. You'll work closely with stakeholders at all levels, contribute to business change initiatives, and play a key role in shaping positive employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters.
  • Partner with managers to support disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and conduct cases.
  • Lead and support consultation processes related to organisational change, restructures, and redeployment activity.
  • Deliver practical, risk-based advice in line with current employment legislation.
  • Analyse ER trends and identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.
  • Develop strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted HR advisor.
  • Contribute to wider people projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations specialist who can confidently manage complex casework and influence stakeholders at all levels.

To be considered, you will have:

  • A strong background in Employee Relations within a large, complex, or regulated environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience supporting business change and consultation activity.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • The ability to balance commercial objectives with a positive employee experience.
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively with the wider HR team.
