Employee Relations Partner
Hybrid working with two days in the office each week
Employee Relations is at its best when it goes beyond managing cases and starts shaping capability, influencing leaders and driving better business outcomes.
If you are an experienced ER professional who enjoys coaching managers, spotting trends before they become problems and partnering with stakeholders to create long term solutions, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
We are supporting a large, fast-paced organisation as they continue to invest in their People function with the appointment of a newly created Employee Relations Partner position. Joining an established and collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering expert ER support across multiple business areas while helping to develop management capability and influence the future direction of employee relations across the organisation.
The opportunity
This is far more than a traditional case management role.
Alongside managing a varied and complex ER caseload, you will partner with operational leaders to identify trends, recommend improvements and coach managers to build confidence and capability in handling people matters effectively.
You will also have the opportunity to influence wider ER strategy by analysing themes across the business, identifying training opportunities, keeping ahead of changes in employment legislation and helping the business take a proactive rather than reactive approach to employee relations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
