ERM Manager

This role is largely remote with travel when required

We are seeking a ERM Manager to support the Head of ERM in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring material risks are effectively identified, assessed, managed, monitored, and reported to support informed decision-making and protect the Company’s financial strength, customers, and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Embed effective risk management practices and promote a strong risk culture across the organisation.
  • Maintain the Risk Appetite Framework and monitor compliance, escalating breaches and reporting key trends.
  • Deliver high-quality risk reporting and analysis for Executive Committee, Board Risk Committee, and Board-level stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor emerging risks, advising senior management on potential impacts.
  • Support enterprise risk governance processes, risk policy oversight, and the reporting of risk exceptions.
  • Assist the Head of ERM with CRO reporting, Board papers, and regulatory developments.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of a Risk Analyst/Manager and support risk management activities across the Group.

About You:

  • Experience in risk management, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Experience of enterprise risk management and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong understanding of insurance risk categories and FCA/PRA regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience developing or enhancing Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate complex risk information into clear insights.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including data analysis and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on reporting efficiency and automation.
  • Good understanding of the Three Lines of Defence model.
