About The Role
This is a home-based position offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000. The role involves working on the development of bespoke functionality for ERP customers, utilizing Java, JavaScript, and SQL. The primary responsibility is to create tailored solutions that address specific business quirks and requirements, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of ERP systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique processes, develop detailed specifications, and implement custom features that enhance operational efficiency. Occasional client visits, typically once or twice a month, will be arranged at your convenience, providing opportunities for direct engagement and relationship building. Additionally, bi-monthly team meetings are held in Nottingham, which you will be expected to attend.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong development background in Java, JavaScript, and SQL, with recent hands-on experience in ERP functionality. A comprehensive understanding of ERP modules such as warehousing, stock management, order processing, financial reporting, manufacturing, MRP, and production is essential. Knowledge of manufacturing processes will be highly advantageous, enabling a quicker adaptation to client requirements and project demands. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate effectively with clients, and experience working in a client-facing environment. A proactive attitude and the capacity to work independently while collaborating with a team are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop bespoke ERP functionality based on client specifications using Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Create comprehensive requirement documents and conceptual overviews to facilitate clear communication with technical teams and clients.
- Engage with clients to gather detailed requirements and provide ongoing support throughout the development process.
- Coordinate and schedule client visits, ensuring they are aligned with your personal diary and project timelines.
- Participate in bi-monthly team meetings at the Nottingham office to share updates, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to team goals.
- Test and troubleshoot developed solutions to ensure they meet client expectations and quality standards.
- Maintain documentation of development activities, client interactions, and project progress.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in ERP systems, Java, JavaScript, and SQL to continuously improve your technical skills.
