About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled ERP Developer to join our team on a home-based basis, offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000. This role involves working closely with clients to develop bespoke functionalities for their ERP systems using Java, JavaScript, and SQL. The primary responsibility is to translate client requirements into technical specifications and develop tailored solutions that address their unique business processes. You will act as a bridge between the client and the technical team, ensuring that the delivered solutions meet the specified needs and are aligned with best practices. The role offers flexibility in scheduling client visits, which are typically once or twice a month, and requires attendance at bi-monthly team meetings near Nottingham. This position is ideal for a developer with a strong background in ERP-related functionalities and a passion for problem-solving and client engagement.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid development background with recent hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, and SQL. A strong understanding of ERP modules such as warehousing, stock management, order processing, financial reporting, manufacturing, MRP, and production is essential. Experience working within manufacturing environments or with manufacturing-related processes will be highly advantageous, enabling you to quickly adapt and contribute effectively. You should demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to gather and interpret client requirements accurately, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience will also be considered. The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Developing custom ERP functionalities based on client specifications
- Creating detailed requirement documents
- Providing conceptual overviews of proposed solutions
- Collaborating with clients to refine their requirements through iterative discussions
- Ensuring that the technical implementation aligns with their business needs
- Designing, coding, testing, and deploying bespoke features, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to project timelines
- Arranging and attending occasional client visits
- Maintaining ongoing communication to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments
- Participating in bi-monthly team meetings, sharing insights and learning from colleagues
- Supporting the technical team and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the company
