ERP Finance Transition Specialist (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

  • Group Financial Controller (Indirect)

Role Purpose

Quvara is undertaking a significant ERP transformation following its divestment from a global corporate. As part of the separation, the business is transitioning from a highly customised SAP environment to Epicor Kinetic, including implementation of supporting MES (Manufacturing Execution System) functionality.

The ERP Finance Transition Manager will ensure finance requirements are understood across the business, prioritised, designed, tested and successfully delivered within the new system.

This role is critical in ensuring the successful migration of finance processes, controls, reporting, data and system functionality into the new operating environment.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Transformation Leadership

  • Working closely with the FC and Group FC to understand financial needs of the business throughout the transition.
  • Act as a key member of the Epicor implementation ensuring robust financial processes are understood, documented and delivered.
  • Challenge and validate proposed system solutions to ensure they meet the financial needs of the business.
  • Drive the delivery of finance-related ERP workstreams throughout the programme lifecycle.

Finance Process Design

  • Review and redesign robust finance processes for operation within Epicor Kinetic.
  • Ensure that future-state processes remain robust, efficient and scalable.
  • Support the design of processes covering:
    • General ledger
    • Order to cash
    • Purchase to pay
    • Fixed Assets
    • Inventory, planning and cost Accounting,
    • Banking and Treasury
    • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Financial and Management Reporting

ERP Implementation

  • Coordinate finance participation in workshops, system design sessions and testing activities.
  • Identify and resolve programme risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Ensure finance deliverables remain on schedule.
  • Work closely with project managers, consultants and business stakeholders to drive delivery.

Data Migration and Reporting

  • Support finance data cleansing and migration activities.
  • Create chart of accounts and mappings.
  • Validate migrated financial data and balances.
  • Coordinate opening balance and cutover activities.
  • Support the development and validation of financial reports, dashboards and KPIs within Epicor.

Testing and Readiness

  • Lead finance user acceptance testing activities.
  • Ensure finance teams are adequately trained on new processes and systems.
  • Support business readiness and go-live planning, execution and post-implementation support to ensure smooth transition and quick resolution of issues.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with finance users, operational teams, external consultants and senior leadership.
  • Communicate programme progress, risks and decisions effectively.
  • Facilitate issue resolution between business stakeholders and implementation partners.

Key Deliverables

  • Successful delivery of the robust finance processes within the Epicor Kinetic implementation.
  • Finance processes redesigned and operating effectively in the new ERP environment.
  • Successful migration of financial data and opening balances.
  • Completion of user acceptance testing and finance sign-off.
  • Successful go-live with minimal disruption to month-end close and business operations.
  • Finance team fully trained and transitioned to the new operating model.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Qualified accountant status (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Significant experience leading manufacturing ERP implementation programmes.
  • Strong finance background with a sound understanding of:
    • Management and Financial Accounting and reporting
    • Production processes including planning and scheduling.
    • Inventory and costing
  • Experience managing stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and resource constraints.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.

Desirable

  • Previous experience implementing Epicor Kinetic.
  • Experience transitioning from SAP or another Tier 1 ERP platform.
  • Understanding of MES and manufacturing execution processes.
  • Experience supporting divestments, carve-outs or separation programmes.
